Emily Raabe, LMSW, PMH-C
"I am passionate about supporting individuals and families through the emotional transitions of fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood, as well as experiences of miscarriage, abortion, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), and pregnancy or infant loss. This stage of life can be incredibly meaningful, but it can also feel overwhelming, isolating, and very different from what many people expected. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate space where clients can talk openly about their experiences and feel supported as they navigate this season of life."
I am available to meet through telehealth or in-person and work with individuals ages 18+.

I am passionate about supporting individuals and families through the emotional transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. This stage of life can be incredibly meaningful, but it can also feel overwhelming, isolating, and very different from what many people expected. I also work with individuals navigating fertility challenges, miscarriage, abortion, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), and pregnancy or infant loss. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate space where clients can talk openly about their experiences and feel supported as they navigate this season of life.
Many parents feel pressure to live up to cultural expectations of "perfect" pregnancy or parenting, which can make it difficult to talk honestly about struggles such as anxiety, depression, feeding challenges, relationship changes, infertility, birth trauma, or grief and loss. I believe no one should have to navigate these experiences alone, and I feel honored to support clients as they make sense of their feelings and develop tools to move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University and my Master of Social Work with a mental health concentration from the University of Washington. I completed clinical training at Perinatal Support Washington, where I worked on the Warm Line providing support, education, and resources to individuals experiencing perinatal mental health concerns. I later returned to Perinatal Support Washington as an intern therapist and subsequently worked as a Clinical Therapist, providing specialized support to individuals navigating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, reproductive loss, birth trauma, and the transition to parenthood.
I have also completed advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International and hold the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). My clinical interests include perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, miscarriage, abortion, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), pregnancy and infant loss, birth trauma, feeding challenges, the transition to parenthood, and supporting young or first-time mothers. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and interpersonal approaches to help clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and feel more connected to themselves and their relationships.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and trying new foods, meeting new people, listening to podcasts, and going on coffee and muffin dates with my kids.
